Plasticell's internal research program is focused on producing regenerative drugs. Plasticell also enables industry partners to produce differentiated cell lines for use in cell therapy and in drug discovery.

Plasticell uses Combinatorial Cell Culture™ to differentiate stem cells, generating information on the biochemical mechanisms of differentiation. This is leveraged to develop drugs that affect these pathways, using two further proprietary technologies:

• CombiScreen™, a phenotype-based small molecule HTS system;
  
• CombiTarg™, a functional genomics-based drug discovery platform.

As a means of generating early revenues, Plasticell licenses the differentiated cell lines and/or their production methods to industry partners who are interested in producing cells for cell therapy or for use as tools in drug discovery.
